This is the full process behind every letter the software produces — what the AI does, what it is not allowed to do, and where you stay in control. Published so you can check our work.

Step 1
Read the report, not a summary
Vindex parses the full three-bureau report you upload and lists every tradeline, collection, inquiry, and public record, with the bureau that reports it, the date of first delinquency, the balance, and the status. Nothing is disputed that you have not seen on screen first.
Step 2
Classify each item before choosing a statute
Items are classified by type (collection, charge-off, late payment, hard inquiry, identity theft, obsolete record). The classification decides the statute: FCRA §611 for reinvestigation, §623 for furnisher accuracy, §605 for the seven-year window, §605B for identity theft, §604 for unauthorized inquiries, FDCPA §1692g for debt validation.
Step 3
Draft from a reviewed template, not free-form text
Each letter is generated from a template that has passed compliance review. The AI fills in the item-specific facts and the reasoning; it does not invent statutory language, and it does not assert facts about your file that are not in the report you uploaded.
Step 4
You review and sign every letter
The full letter is shown before it leaves the app. You can edit it, print it, download it, or send it to yourself. Vindex does not sign or mail anything for you and never contacts a bureau on your behalf.
Step 5
Track the statutory clock
When you mark a letter mailed, Vindex starts the FCRA reinvestigation window — 30 days, or 45 when you supply new documentation during the period — and reminds you when a response is overdue.
Step 6
Counter, then escalate
If a bureau returns "verified," the next step is a Method of Verification request asking how the item was verified and by whom. If the response is still inadequate, Vindex pre-fills a CFPB complaint (Form 1410) with the dates and documents already on file.
What we will not do
Dispute information you have confirmed is accurate, current, and verifiable.
Promise a score increase, a deletion, or a timeline for either.
Create a new credit identity, use an EIN in place of an SSN, or advise you to misstate a fact — these are illegal and we refuse them outright.
Sign, mail, or file anything on your behalf, or speak to a bureau for you.
Sell, rent, or share your credit report data with third-party marketers.
Every letter is generated from a reviewed template, cites the statute that actually applies to the item type, and is shown to you in full before it is sent. You sign and mail it — nothing is filed on your behalf. Read the full methodology.
Software, not a credit repair organization
Vindex Intelligence is self-service software. It is not a credit repair organization, law firm, or credit counseling agency, and it does not provide legal advice. You can dispute items yourself for free directly with the bureaus — Vindex organizes and accelerates that work.
No guaranteed outcomes
Accurate, timely, and verifiable information cannot be removed from a credit report. No one can promise a specific score increase or deletion, and we don't. Results depend on your file and on how each furnisher responds.
